Refund & Return Policy

1. Overview

American Drive Rentals operates a car rental search and comparison website. Reservations made after you leave this site are held by the rental provider you selected, and are subject to that provider's terms. This policy explains where responsibility sits so you know who to contact.

2. Provider-specific policies

Cancellation, refund, modification and vehicle return terms depend on the rental provider, the location and the rate type you selected. Two bookings for the same city can carry different conditions. The terms shown to you at the point of booking are the ones that apply.

3. Cancellations

Review the cancellation policy presented by the selected provider before completing a reservation, including any deadline after which a fee applies. Cancellations are requested through the provider that issued the reservation, using the confirmation reference they sent you.

4. Refunds

Where a refund applies, it is handled according to the applicable booking and provider terms, and is issued by the party that took the payment. Processing times are set by that provider and its payment processor. American Drive Rentals does not take rental payments on this site and therefore cannot issue rental refunds.

5. Vehicle returns

Vehicles must be returned according to the rental agreement provided by the selected rental provider — at the agreed location, by the agreed time, and in the agreed fuel or charge condition. Keep the closing paperwork or emailed receipt until any deposit hold is released.

6. Late returns

Additional charges may apply according to the provider's rental agreement. Late-return charges are frequently billed in hourly or full-day increments, and can also affect any coverage you purchased. If you expect to be late, contact the provider before the return time.

7. Changes or modifications

To change dates, times, locations, vehicle class or driver details on an existing reservation, contact the rental provider directly with your confirmation reference. Modifications may change the price. We cannot amend a reservation held by a provider.
